APPLE CAKE RECIPE
160 gr sugar – 160 gr butter melted – 3 eggs (1 whole egg and 2 beaten whites separated from 2 yolks) – 320 gr self-raising flour – Pinch of salt – A little milk – Four large cooking apples (renette or parmina dorata)
Beat the sugar with the two yolks and whole egg. Add the melted butter. Gradually add the flour sifted with the salt. Add the beaten egg whites. Add the apples which have been peeled, cored and sliced thinly, then soaked in a little milk to soften them. Put the mix into a baking tin wich has been lined with baking paper or greased and coated with flour. Put in a slow oven for about 45 mins.
